It had been a while since I had done any chevrons and it is one of my favorite looks for my nails, so I decided it was a good time to pull out my old stand by. I put a little spin on it by making the chevron accent nails a gradient and I love how this mani turned out!
I started out this manicure with 3 coats of Color Club – Femme a la Mode. This is a delightfully creamy sheer pink – totally worth the three coat application. It’s very light and feminine – and I love it with my skin tone.
I applied a coat of Seche Vite to aid in drying time and once they were completely dry I used the mini chevron vinyls from Glam My Mani. The mini chevrons were perfect for my currently short nails. I then used a half-wedge of a non-latex makeup spong and sponged on my gradient using NYC – Pink Promenade Creme and more Femme a la Mode.
On the rest of my nails, I did a simple dot pattern with a medium dotting tool and Pink Promenade Creme.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Color Club – Femme a la Mode
- NYC – Pink Promenade Creme
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
Seriously love the final result. It is cute and feminine and I personally feel like I can pull this kind of look off much better with really short nails.
