You may or may not have noticed that I went on hiatus for the summer. Sorry about the lack of notice – it wasn’t something I had planned on, but between my daughter being home for summer break and adopting a new puppy to house train, play with and cuddle, I decided to put my nails on the back burner.
Earth Day 2016 is quickly approaching – a time to take stock of the footprint you leave on the planet and what you can do to make things better. As a nail polish collector, disposing of unwanted nail polish can sometimes be a challenge. Luckily, Zoya has kicked off their annual Earth Day special (you can read about it here) to help with this problem. It doesn’t get that cold in my part of the US, but it does get chilly and often quite rainy – the combination leaves me longing for Spring. Of course I have to translate that desire into nail art 🙂
This is one of those manis that I did in a rush without much in the way of planning. I’ve pretty much decided that you just cannot go wrong with random dry brushing. Read on to see how it turned out!
Advanced stamping is one of those techniques that I have been in awe of for years, but for multiple reasons I had not managed to conquer it. My main problem was that I was trying to place dried decals on my nails and could never get them to lay down nicely because my nails curve quite a bit from side-to-side as well as front-to-back. I finally found the way to do it that works best for me and I am super pleased with the results!
Fall is the time of year I have to make extra special efforts to not buy every new polish collection. This is my favorite time to year and it seems like every brand is putting out super beautiful polishes. The Fall 2016 release from Zoya, Focus & Flair, had some really beautiful polishes. While I am usually more attracted to creme polishes, I really like the metallics this time. There was only one, however, that I simply had to have: Cinnamon.

I cannot believe I forgot to post about this mani! This one was done for my #mommysmanimonday group and the prompt was to use both neon and pastel polish in a single mani. I did a mix of dotticure and chevron.
The 4th has come and gone already and I am just now posting about this mani, yikes! I’ll get right to it then!
Here we are, right at the beginning of summer and I am already soulfully longing for the cooler days of fall – along with the earthier color tones. Best I can do is bring fall to my nails a few months early!
