After a handful of bright, colorful manis, I was ready to do something a bit more stark and simple. I decided on black and white and my nail art of choice: polkadots! Simple colors or design choice doesn’t have to equal a boring or bland mani though!
White is one of my favorite colors to use as a background for nail art, but I rarely actually use it because I find most white polishes to be an exercise in frustration when it comes to application. I’m always trying new ones to try to find one that I can tolerate. My most tolerated one for painting with to this point was, ironically, one of the cheapest ones out there: Sinful Colors – Snow Me White – even with it, I generally have to rely on my top coat to smooth it and level it out.
During the Christmas sales Barielle was doing these crazy-good-amazing deals with 5 (full sized!) polishes for $5.00/free shipping. This made them exceedingly hard to pass up so I am now the proud owner of a ton of Barielle polish. One of those new colors happened to be a white called Going to the Chapel and with some trepidation I decided to try it out today!
I love gray nail polishes! Even more, I love this kind of cool-toned gray. I think it looks really good with my skin tone and I knew I wanted to use it as a base for my mani. The rest of the design was a bit seat of my pants.
I’m a little bit behind on posting my challenge photos, but so far I am keeping up with the challenges! For this one, the prompt was Vampire.
