Spa Ritual Gold 2-Step Flexible Color System Review & Swatches

Spa Ritual Gold - Last Tango

press_sample
I’m a big fan of Spa Ritual nail polish for a number of reasons, so I was really excited when they reached out to me with a sample of their 2-step Flexible Color long lasting manicure system, Spa Ritual Gold. Like other similar systems, this uses a coat of color and a high shine topcoat for a gel-like, long-lasting finish. I don’t often wear my nail polish for more than a day, so I buckled down for the long haul and prepared my mind to leave my nails painted with this polish for multiple days!

Floral Stamped Pink and Gold Gradient

Pink to gold gradient, stamped with flowers

Obviously, I have been in the mood for flowers! I’ve been painting and stamping them like they are going out of style. I realized that I hadn’t done a gradient in a while, so I set out to do one this time. Aside from the cleanup, this was super fast nail art – I really need to invest in some liquid latex, it would save me a ton of time.

Swatch and Review: Zoya – Yuna

Zoya - Yuna

When Zoya first released their Ignite collection, I only picked out Remy and India. When Ulta recently clearanced them out, I went ahead and picked up Yuna and Sansa. As part of my month of untrieds, I decided to put Yuna on. (Yes, I am posting this late!)

I Know What I Wore for Christmas Last Year… But I Can’t Show You.

Christmas a la Barielle

So, yeah. I spent a lot of time early in December, trying to decide what the crown jewel of my Christmas manicures would be. The special one I’d have on for Christmas day (yes, these are they types of thoughts that consume me, don’t judge!). Then there was the sickness. Which lead to the exhaustion. Which lead to me wearing a chipped manicure for almost 4 days (7 days total!). Sadly, it didn’t get any better.

#npclairestelle8 Day 8: Spiders and Webs

#npclairestelle8 Day 8: Spider and Web nails

Another challenge entry out of the way! This one really took some time to think about. Most of my fall and Halloween manis so far have used really traditional colors and I wanted to step out of that box a little bit. I started digging through my stash and came across my bottle of Blue Freeze, which is a really cool blue. The base is a deep navy, but it is also loaded with navy and purple micro glitter. Unfortunately, this glittery nature of the color is largely lost underneath the stamping here, but it is a really nice polish with a great formula.

Still inspired by fall: stamping edition!

Sally Hansen Copperhead and Essie Good as Gold

I have enough polish now that sometimes I have trouble figuring out what to do (because there is so much I want to do – the struggle is real)! So, digging through my stash, I came across Sally Hansen – Copperhead, a gorgeous dark copper (almost more of a rust color) duochrome that pulls a bit purple and green at just the right angles. Even by itself it is really gorgeous for fall, but I wanted to step it up. On my nail message board, ladies had been talking about stamping with the Essie metallics and that made me remember how nice they stamp and voila!

BHB Challenge: Inspired by the Season and new China Glaze – Rest in Pieces

BHB Challenge: Inspired by the Season

I love everything about Fall. The cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, Halloween, etc. etc. You get the idea. Sadly, I live in Texas and fall is pretty short-lived here. We’re still hitting the 90’s and the trees haven’t started to change yet – but our grass is dying because we haven’t had enough rain. My seasonal inspiration was the colors around us and this is what I ended up with:
