Fall is the time of year I have to make extra special efforts to not buy every new polish collection. This is my favorite time to year and it seems like every brand is putting out super beautiful polishes. The Fall 2016 release from Zoya, Focus & Flair, had some really beautiful polishes. While I am usually more attracted to creme polishes, I really like the metallics this time. There was only one, however, that I simply had to have: Cinnamon.
Once upon a time, there was a nail polish addict desperately searching for a dark chocolate brown polish with holographic glitter in it. Seriously, it doesn’t sound that difficult right? However, I had a really hard time finding anything that was as dark as I wanted. I finally happened upon a swatch of Picture Polish – Demeter and I knew it had to be mine! Then I saw the price tag and was like, okay, maybe later! I added it to my wish list every once in a while I would go look at swatches and try to justify spending the money.
Dotticures really appeal to me – largely because dotting is one of the first techniques I tried, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I often go back to it when I don’t really have any other ideas in mind. Mani autopilot!
The prompt for todays manicure was, of course, Starbucks. I spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out what I was going to do, but finding the perfect green gave me the push I needed in the right direction.
Prepping for my next mani, I put on Zoya Kalista, a gorgeous deep brown/burgundy color. Zoya describes the color as a
Dark espresso brown with plum-purple undertones and strong golden shimmer
I’m not seeing a lot of golden shimmer on my nail, though I can see a hint of it in my second picture – hopefully tomorrow I can look at it in the sun – but it is still a gorgeous polish!
