Don’t you just love it when you have a look in your mind and it comes out better than you even expected? That’s exactly how I feel about this gradient!
I started this one out with 1 coat of Fresh Paint – Belle of the Ball. It is a very sheer polish, but I didn’t need a lot of coverage, since I was going to be sponging on a gradient. Once the base color was mostly dry, I used a non-latex makeup sponge and sponged on Belle of the Ball, Color Club – Tiny Umbrella and Zoya – Happi. All of these polishes are pretty sheer, so it took about 4 passes to get complete opacity.

The gradient on it’s own was pretty, but I wanted some kick, so I applied one coat of MDJ Creations – Fire By Night, a gorgeous indie polish I recently acquired (I need to swatch this on its’ own so badly!) This polish added a gorgeous shimmer with slightly larger glitters for even more punch. Here is a closeup macro of all the pretty:

POLISHES:
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Fresh Paint – Belle of the Ball
- Color Club – Tiny Umbrella
- Zoya – Happy
- MDJ Creations – Fire By Night
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
I loved how this turned out so much that I didn’t want to do any art over it. The colors are definitely Spring – but the Fire By Night just adds an amazing kick!
