I recently got a few of the Color Club – The Islands polishes and I was particularly excited about this green called The Islands, which is a super sheer, minty green jelly with micro-shimmer. Because it is so sheer, I decided to test it out with a pond-style manicure!
I started off with three thin coats of Color Club – The Islands. This polish goes on very nicely, but it is very sheer, like most jelly polishes. The finish is absolutely lovely though!

I stamped on top with Funky Fingers – Gesso and Bundle Monster – BM-XL05. I painted one more coat of The Islands on top and stamped one more time with M Polish – Starflower, using a different image from the same plate. Startflower is very sheer over light-colored polishes, but it added this gorgeous flash of color as I moved my hands around.
POLISHES:
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Color Club – The Islands
- Funky Fingers – Gesso
- M Polish – Starflower
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
- BM-XL05
Sadly, I couldn’t get a great photo of this one. The Islands has a simply gorgeous jelly finish and I love how delicate and feminine this looked!
