I don’t generally wear a lot of red polish, but in the month of December, it feels like a must, so I dust off all my red polishes and go to town. I love doing lower contrast stamping and this seemed like the perfect opportunity!
To start off, I painted on two coats of Sonia Kashuk – Scarlet Starlet, a deep cool red. Even though I am not a huge fan of wearing red polish, this is a really good one that I love. The formula is super smooth and with a slightly thicker first coat, you could easily get away with just doing one.
I gave it a few minutes to dry and then stamped on a scrolling damask pattern with M Polish – I Need a Vacation and Born Pretty Store plate BP-L 005.
I gave it a couple of minutes to dry and then topped it with a coat of Seche Vite.
I Need a Vacation is a beautiful metallic red polish that has seems to glow from within and my pictures don’t do this justice, because you need to see it in motion with the light playing against it to truly appreciate it!

I think this is a fantastic mani for the holidays, especially for a night out. I also have M Polish – Get Lost, the green equivalent of INAV, so I feel like I need to do a similar mani in green now! Do you like tone-on-tone for nails? Let me know what you think in the comments!
