It’s time for another installment of #mommysmanimonday! Our prompt today was to do a manicure inspired by our kiddos Halloween costume. My daughter is going to be a fairy princess and I was really excited to work on a matching mani!
The costume she will be wearing is actually one I bought on clearance after Halloween two years ago, long before she was tall enough to wear it! I think it was 70% off at the time and she has been eagerly awaiting the time when she could wear it 🙂 Finally, she’s tall enough this year. Here is the costume, including an inset of the swirl pattern on the tulle:
I started off with two coats of Sonia Kashuk – Love Story, then used a sponge to dab on Sally Hansen Triple Shine – Clam Up, to give it a shimmery, satin appearance. Once dried, I stamped a swirl pattern from Bundle Monster (BM-XL11) using Sinful Colors – Gold Medal. On my pointer and pinky nails I put a coat Shinespark Polish – Gilded Rose, which is kind of like Fairy Dust, but gold toned. All nails got a coat of Seche Vite to finish up.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Sonia Kashuk – Love Story
- Sally Hansen Triple Shine – Clam Up
- Sinful Colors – Gold Medal
- Shinespark Polish – Gilded Rose
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
I feel like I did a good representation of the costume! The only drawback was that from a distance, the gold stamping was a bit hard to see – however, the colors were really spot on and best of all, my daughter thought they were really pretty, so we may do her nails this way on Halloween!
