I had been wanting to try the new OPI Infinite Shine polishes, so in a recent Sally’s moment of weakness, I picked up this gorgeous Blue/Sage color called Withstands the Test of Thyme. the color is soooo right up my alley!
First off, a note about Withstands the Test of Thyme. It is a stainer and I was really disappointed! Even with base coat on, I ended up with blue-stained nails and using non-acetone remover spread the color to my cuticles and surrounding skin during removal as well. I ended up having to do a full scrub with whitening toothpaste to get my skin and nails back to their normal colors. Sadly, I do not recommend this polish for that reason. If a little staining doesn’t bother you, the formula on this was really nice. Slightly thick, but easy to control and opaque in two coats.
I started off by painting my index and middle fingers with OPI – My Vampire is Buff, my ring finger with Withstands the Test of Thyme and OPI – Love.Angel.Music.Baby on my pink – I used two coats on each nail. I topped them all with a coat of Seche Vite and allowed them to dry completely.

On my index and middle nails, I placed two angled nail vinyls and then painted over them with Withstands the Test of Thyme and quickly removed the vinyls with a pair of tweezers. Lastly, I stamped a leaf and floral pattern on my ring finger with OPI – Love.Angel.Music.Baby with MoYou London Pro XL 14. I top coated the three nails with art once more to finish of the mani.
POLISHES:

I like the mix of modern graphic elements with the softer and more feminine stamping and of these colors really go together well! As stated before, however, I would skip on purchasing Withstands the Test of Thyme unless you really don’t mind dealing with staining. There are plenty of similarly colored polishes out there without this draw back.
