Another challenge entry out of the way! This one really took some time to think about. Most of my fall and Halloween manis so far have used really traditional colors and I wanted to step out of that box a little bit. I started digging through my stash and came across my bottle of Blue Freeze, which is a really cool blue. The base is a deep navy, but it is also loaded with navy and purple micro glitter. Unfortunately, this glittery nature of the color is largely lost underneath the stamping here, but it is a really nice polish with a great formula.
I started out painting my base colors (Blue Freeze and Love.Angel.Music.Baby) on my nails. On the blue, I stamped with black, then went over it with gray and finally one more time with the gold. On my accent nail, I stamped over it once with gold then hand painted the spider on. Everything got a coat of Seche and then I placed the gem on the spiders back while I could still move it around and get it placed properly. I think these have a great spooky look while using non-traditional colors, which is fun! I think the gold almost gives it a steampunk sort of feel. Makes me want to do a similar mani but add in some gear stamping!
I do wish the spider was better. My practice ones on paper turned out a lot better! It’s a bit drunken and mis-shaped.

This makes me want to go even further out of the box with some of the other manis I will be doing for this challenge. The next prompt for the 10th is leaves and I think I will do something low-key for that.
