I’m a bit delayed in getting this post up, but it’s been a busy weekend! This was my last challenge manicure for October and I did double duty once again. I skipped one prompt from each of the challenges I was working , so not completed, but I am happy with what I did! In total, between challenges, palette cleansers and a few swatches, I did 28 manis this month! I also learned a valuable lesson about taking on too many challenges, as it left me very little time to work on many manicures that were just for me.
Without further ado, here is the last one:
The prompt for #npclairestelle8 was my favorite thing about Halloween and the prompt for #BHBSpooktober was Pumpkins/Masks. Well, luckily, one of my favorite things is carving jack-o-lanterns every year. Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of the ones my daughter and I did this year! I’d already done a couple of varieties of pumpkin/jack-o-lantern nails and didn’t really want to repeat something I had done already, so I took an interpretive approach.
I started with a base coat of OPI – Don’t Talk Bach to Me and Sinful Colors – Bright Lights, Pink City (sidenote: I don’t know why it is named that. The polish clearly isn’t pink!) on my accent finger. I applied striping tape to the accent and went over it with Sally Hansen – Sun Kissed. When that dried, I used my striper to apply a lines of Cult – Troubadour.
I used a large dotting tool to dot my index nail and then used my striping brush again to create the swirly vines.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- OPI – Don’t Talk Bach to Me
- Sally Hansen – Sun Kissed
- Cult – Troubadour
- Zoya – Logan
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
Overall, I am really happy with my manis this month! I’ll be posting up my #monthlymanifavorites on IG tomorrow.
