I cannot believe I forgot to post about this mani! This one was done for my #mommysmanimonday group and the prompt was to use both neon and pastel polish in a single mani. I did a mix of dotticure and chevron.
I started off the many by painting two coats of Zoya – Lillian on my pointer and pinkie nails and then two coats of Color – Club – East Austin on my middle and ring finger nails. I applied a coat of Seche Vite to speed up the drying process.
Once they were all dry, I applied chevron nail vinyls to the East Austin nails and painted over them with Lillian. On my blue nails, I dotted them with East Austin and then applied one more coat of Seche Vite to protect the enter mani.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Zoya – Lillian
- Color Club – East Austin
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
I probably never would have mixed these colors without the prompt to do so – I am generally at a bit of a loss as to what to do with neon polishes, since I feel like they don’t really look good on me. That being said, I thought this mani turned out pretty cute and summery, so I am glad I participated!
