Here is another installment of my #mommysmanimonday manicure! The theme this week was to re-create the mani of another group member and I chose to do a mani by @cmlovesnails. I chose this mani partly because it looks absolutely fabulous on short nails – you’ll notice mine are considerably short in this mani than they were in my previous one – but I also loved the colors and the freehand aspect!
To start off this mani, I put on two coats of Sally Hansen – Bubblegum Pink on all of my nails. I put on a coat of Seche Vite to speed up the drying process.
Once dry, I used a very fine striping brush and created the wavy lines on my nails. I generally did three squiggles on each nail in each colors, starting with white and ending with the silver. I loved that I didn’t have to be super careful with my lines! It made for a very speedy mani.
This reminded me a lot of the waterfall technique, but you have a bit more freedom with this. I think the whole mani took me 30 minutes start to finish, which is a definite plus.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Sally Hansen – Bubblegum Pink
- Sinful Colors – Snow Me White
- Sinful Colors – Black on Black
- Finger Paints – Easel Come, Easel Go
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
Seriously, I love this mani so much! I’m definitely doing this again. The lines are lengthening, making this a great look for short nails and it is easy and fast, making this a great option if you have a time crunch.
