Our theme this week over at Mommy’s Mani Monday was scented polish. We could either use scented polish/topcoat/whatever or if you didn’t have a scented polish, create a theme that evokes a scent, like flowers or fruit. I happen to own one scented polish, so my path was pretty clear!
I started off this mani by painting 3 coats of Revlon – Wintermint (part of the parfumerie line) on all of my nails. I topped it with Seche Vite and allowed them to dry completely.
It is at this point where my dilemma arose. I really wanted to do a winter theme to go with the name/fragrance of my polish, but I needed these to be wearable for a few days. Being sensible won out lol. Wintermint is a near dupe for Deborah Lippmann – Mermaid’s Dream, so I decided to just do a basic, mermaid inspired stamp. I used Bundle Monster plate BM-XL24 and stamped with Funky Fingers – Dark Knight. A final coat of Seche Vite and I was done.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Revlon – Wintermint
- Funky Fingers – Dark Knight
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
I always love mermaid nails and I was happy with how these turned out, even if they aren’t exactly what I had originally envisioned!
