Welcome back once again! Finally we are on the fourth and final part of this review! I’ll cover the last five polishes I have to share with you and give my overall picks.
If you want to check out part one (neutrals and yellows) part two (oranges and pinks) or part three, just click the links!
To recap: Make Me Collection Cosmetics is based out of Chicago, Illinois and offers 5-free, cruelty free products. The polishes come in square, 15mL bottles, which I really like. I feel like the brush can get to more of the product, plus they will fit nicely in my storage, where space is tight. Now on to the colors:

Surfboard!!!

Surfboard!!! is a gorgeous medium blue creme with just a bit of a dusty hint to it. The formula on this is just lovely – it goes on smooth and is just shy of being a one coater. Shown in my swatches topped with Seche Vite.

Heels on Water

Heels on Water is a light, sky-blue creme polish. Unlike many light-blue polishes I have used in the past, the formula for this one was actually quite good. It was a little bit streaky on the first coat but even up and was opaque in two coats. Topped with Seche Vite for my swatch pics.

Martini Me Please

Martini Me Please is a dusty fern-green colored creme. I really love this color, it is such a soothing shade! The formula on this was good and was opaque in two coats. Topped in these pictures with Seche Vite.

Tropical Breeze

Tropical Breeze is a bright kelly green jelly. Please note that I swatched this over a white base. Alone, it would probably take 5-6 coats to be opaque. I used two coats over white for this smooth and bright finish. The formula is very nice and self levels perfectly. Shown topped with Seche Vite.

Metal Candy

Metal Candy this a glitter topper made up of tiny silver glitters and larger gunmetal gray hex glitters in a sheer, purple tinted base. The base on this one is rather runny and the glitters tend to sink, but a quick shake re-disperses everything nicely. The application was super easy and I actually really like this approach to glitter toppers because the base isn’t super thick, this goes on really easy and in a thin layer.

I decided I wanted to see how it would look sponged on and while I love the result, I do not recommend you do this. It took about 5 passes to get opaque and I used up a ton of polish. But look at how sparkly they are!

These were another great set of colors and I feel like the simple topper was a nice cap for the collection.
Overall Impression: I am really happy with these polishes. On the whole, they had good formula, vibrant colors and wore well. While I am not generally a fan of blue or yellow polish, Beautiful Day and Always Royal were huge standouts for me because the colors were just so intensely saturated and I will be wearing them again just for the beauty of it. Other than those two, my favorites were I Am Legend and Make ’em Wonder but I also really liked Butt Naked – both for the name and the pretty color.
You can purchase these products and others at the Make Me Cosmetics Collection website and they retail for $5.00 ea.
Let me know which colors have been your favorites and stay tuned in the next few days for some nail art using these polishes! 🙂
