Holographic Water Marble

This is one of those manis that I have seen a number of other nail artists do and I just hadn’t gotten around to trying it yet (which is shameful of me, because it turned out so beautiful). Once again, Color Club holographics are amazingly versatile!

For this marble, I started out by putting one coat of Color Club – Kismet on each nail, just to cover up any potential bald places in the marble. Once that base color was dry, I taped off all of my nails (I feel so old fashioned, since I haven’t upgraded to using liquid vinyl). Using just regular tap water, I created a flower pattern using Color Club – Kismet, Eternal Beauty, Over the Moon and Miss Bliss and dipped a finger. I re-created the pattern for each finger.

Once  had dipped all fingers, I removed the tape and top-coat, taking care of a bit of cleanup once it was dry. Check out how vibrant and flashy it turned out:

Of course, I also had to get a macro shot to show more detail of the actual marble:

  • Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
  • Color Club – Kismet
  • Color Club – Eternal Beauty
  • Color Club – Over the Moon
  • Color Club – Miss Bliss
  • Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat

I absolutely adore how this came out. If yo uwant a “make a statement” sort of mani, this is an awesome one to try!
