Gray and Pink Polka dot Floral Nails

This mani came about when I was trying out some different dotting ideas. I was going to little paisleys made of dots as I am trying to perfect a technique for bandana nails!

To start this mani off, I painted on two coats of my two base colors: Color Club – Endless and a gray frankenpolish I made to be a dupe for Butter London’s Full Steam Ahead (which I adore and only have a mini of!).  I applied a coat of Seche Vite to aid in drying time.

On my index and pinkie nails, I used a medium dotting tool and did some spaced out dots. On the other two fingers I went wild creating dotted flowers, circle shapes and little paisleys. To create the flowers, I used a large dotting tool and made 5 dots in a circular pattern with the gray polish. I went back over it with a slightly smaller dotting tool in pink so the petals have a duo-toned look.  I topped it all off with Seche Vite.

I love how versatile dotting is!

POLISHES:

  • Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
  • Color Club – Endless
  • Barielle – Going to the Chapel
  • Frankenpolish – Gray
  • Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat

I’m a step closer to doing the red bandana nails I want to try, just need a bit more practice on placing the dots for paisley shapes!
