We’ve had some warmer weather here in my neck of the woods, but lots of rain and overcast skies. My color choices were largely inspired by our weather: the colors are reminiscent of spring but muted and dusty.
This is a very simple mani, but I was super pleased with how it came out! Two of the colors I used are pretty new to my collection and work so well together! To start with, I painted my base colors on my nails. I used Nicole by OPI – Daisy (picked up on clearance recently at Target for a little more than $1.00) on my ring finger and on the others I used Butter London – Bossy Boots (acquired on the cheap at TJMaxx). I used two coats of each polish to achieve full opacity.
I applied a coat of Seche Vite to each nail to speed the drying process and then started in on the basic art. I used a medium dotting tool and added a simple dot pattern on each of my nails except for the accent using OPI – My Vampire is Buff.
On the accent, I used regular and narrow chevron nail vinyls and painted in the open areas with My Vampire is Buff and Bossy Boots.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Butter London – Bossy Boots
- Nicole by OPI – Daisy
- OPI – My Vampire is Buff
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
Simple as this is, it is one of my favorite manis I have done in a while! I love how well the colors work together. Not to mention there are dots and chevrons, some of my favorite mani elements!
