I know I have mentioned it before but I really love dry-brush. It is one of my go-to techniques, especially when I am in a hurry. With that said, I present another one of my dry-brush designs 🙂
I started this mani off with 4 coats of MDJ Creations – Intelligent Design. Don’t let the 4 coats scare you. This polish goes on super sheer and dries quickly so four coats isn’t a terrible setback (this coming from someone who hates to do more than two coats!)
For the dry brush part, you don’t even have to wait for the base to fully dry. I used KBShimmer – Pigment of my Imagination and M Polish – Berry Best Friends as my accent colors. I removed as much polish as possible from the brush and lightly did random brush strokes over my all of my nails. I love this part! You don’t have to be careful or precise, just have fun!
I gave everything about 10 minutes to dry up a bit and then stamped my floral pattern onto my nails. I used Funky Fingers – Dark Knight and BM-XL13. I topped everything with a coat of Seche Vite to seal it up and aid in drying time.
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- MDJ Creations – Intelligent Design
- KBShimmer – Pigment of my Imagination
- M Polish – Berry Best Friends
- Funky Fingers – Dark Knight
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
I just love how these came out. They are a bit vampy, but in the sun the sparkled like crazy! I love how fast and easy it was – I think this took about 45 minutes start to finish. Do you like dry brushing? Let me know in the comments!
