It doesn’t get that cold in my part of the US, but it does get chilly and often quite rainy – the combination leaves me longing for Spring. Of course I have to translate that desire into nail art 🙂
I received an order of Zoya polishes in, once of which was Miley, which ended up being the inspiration for the colors I used in this design. Miley is a sheer, periwinkle crelly. While I am absolutely nuts for the color, I had to use four coats for my base, so if you love it, just be aware you have to put in a fair amount of work for opacity. I let my base dry for about 30 minutes and then created a dot pattern for my index and pinky nails using Sally Hansen – White On, Zoya – Tiana and one of my frankenpolishes. I topcoated those nails to make sure they wouldn’t get messed up when I started on the floral.
For my middle and ring nails, I added random flowers, leaves and dot patterns. I started by creating the white daisies and then went on to add the other details once I was happy with placement. I topped those nails with a coat of Seche Vite to finish off the mani.

- Sally Hansen – White On
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
The colors in this really helped to lift me out of the winter funk I was in. Miley is somewhat frustrating to work with because it is so sheer, but the squishy finish and delicious color make it worthwhile in the long run!
