I’m here today for another Cici&Sisi review! The two sets I have from them have slim pickings in regards to Halloween, so when I read that they were releasing a special plate just for Halloween, I pre-ordered it right away. As with any Cici&Sisi offering, the plate itself is an eclectic selection of styles and even themes!

The plate arrived in a padded envelope and inside I found this adorable cardboard sleeve. Cute, right? Well, we’re not done! Inside of the cardboard is a faux leather sleeve as well, which is really a nice touch for keeping the plate safe from scratches or other damage.

The plate itself is jumbo size. It’s 6 inches wide and almost 8 inches tall. The images on the plate are all large in size. Like the sets 3 and 4, the Halloween offering has a combined stamping image on the plate that contains a variety of different images.

The images are all well-etched. I didn’t have problems picking any of them up. Some of my samples are a little sloppy, so any imperfections are most likely user error and not the fault of the plate itself. All of these images were done with Sinful Colors – Black on Black and my rectangular marshmallow stamper from Vivid Lacquer. The top row of images are sampled from the large combined image at the bottom of the plate. Everything else is in the order it appears on the plate. Click on the image below to view enlarged thumbnails.

Lots of variety here – and see those question marks? Yeah. The one on the top is a tilted E. I feel like I am missing some kind of slang (am I too old to recognize this newfangled Halloween symbol?!). The second question mark is the kissing reindeer image. They are kissing in front of a moon, true, but really? There is mistletoe hanging from the antler of the male deer. At least it is a useful image.
There are also a couple of geometric patterns included – and while I like them and think they will be useful, I would really rather have had spider webs, grim reapers, candy – you know, something HALLOWEEN. I still love the set as a whole, but there are definitely some WTF’s in regard to some of the images included.
PRO:
- Eclectic selection of Halloween styles
- Comes with a nice cardboard and faux leather sleeve for storage
- Perfectly etched images
- Large images perfect for wide or longer nails
- Competitive pricing: Retails for $12.99 on Amazon (Prime eligible) or on Ciciandsisi.com
CON:
- Jumbo images may be too large for narrow or short nails
- Some of the images are out of place for a Halloween plate
- Does not come with stamper or scraper, so you’ll need your own tools prior to purchasing
OVERALL:
I really like the plate so far, it has a lot of images that will be really fun for Halloween manis including two owls (which I love to pieces)! Even the out of place images are useful for other occasions but it would have been nice if all of the images were Halloween or fall related. MoYou London’s gothic set has a lot of Halloween-themed elements to it, so I would compare styles and then make a decision – as far as quality, I don’t think you can go wrong with either plates.
I did a couple of quick manis to show the stamping, so check them out below:

Happy stamping and happy halloween!
Great review! And beautiful stamping. Some of the images are definitely WTF worthy for a Halloween plate, but I love the rest of the images. I will be purchasing this one 🙂
