I’ve been loving dark colors lately, but every once in a while, I know I need a big change, just to recharge. I realized it has been a while since I had done any chevron manicures, so I set out to remedy that!
I don’t often use really bold color schemes, but that is what I wanted to do for this mani! I started off painting my pointer and middle finger with two coats of Barielle – Going to the Chapel. On my ring finger, is used 4 (!) coats of Butter London – Henley Regatta. Luckily, the base on this gorgeous glitter is really thin, so it didn’t feel like 4 layers of polish. Next time I will know to use an undie! On my Pinky finger, I painted two coats of Finger Paints – Bizerk Turq.
I applied topcoat to all layers and once it was dry, I used some large chevron vinyls from Glam My Mani and arranged them on the white nails. Once they were where I wanted them, I painted over top with Sinful Colors Black on Black and using a pair of tweezers, immediately removed the vinyls. I gave these nails a couple of minutes to dry and then applied a coat of Seche Vite on top to seal the art in and aid in drying time.
I looooove Henley Regatta! It was one of the polishes on my lust list and my husband picked it up for me as a Christmas present. The beautiful mix of blue, turquoise and green micro glitter is just beautiful and really wow in the sun! Here is a macro shot:
- Essie – Grow Stronger Base Coat
- Barielle – Going to the Chapel
- Butter London – Henley Regatta
- Finger Paints – Bizerk Turq
- Seche Vite – Dry Fast Top Coat
I absolutely love how this mani came out! I don’t normal wear such bold designs on my fingers, but it was so eye-catching and fun that it reinforced my need to step outside of my comfort zone occasionally!
